Still on the subject of eating
Just been to a "how to motivate your todler" talk - very interesting. Glad I went as it turns out we have been doing this parenting thing ALL WRONG. Isla was in childcare in the church it was at, when I got there to pick her up they said:
"Oh we love Isla, she is just crazy, and she ate ALL her own snacks, then had some of everyone elses, we have never seen a kid her size eat so much". Thats my girl! On the way home she ate a whole onigiri and passed out - too much playing or too much eating - who knows!

Bento
It was Isla's first day back at daycare yesterday. All the other kids have such lovely bento boxes I decided to make a special effort - how pretty is this? She has a cheese and ham muffin, peas (her favourite!), omelette, cucumber, apples, strawberries and a yoghurt. She was there for 4 hours and ate it all!

Perth
We had a fantastic time in Perth, a few days in Fremantle where Alec, Billy, Axel and Riki came to stay, down to Secret Harbour (best name ever) to stay with Billy, on to Margaret River for a few more days. We went to a Rottnest Island, snorkelling, Penguin Island, Sealion Island, Charlie saw 20 minutes of the Ashes, a winery, two breweries, a cave, lots of beaches, did lots of driving, celebrated Christmas. Action packed but also very relaxing.

Perth
On Wednesday we leave for Perth, Charlie needed to take a block of two weeks off, The Ashes are on, we have friends there, it is hot - all VERY good reasons to visit!
We are spending a few days in Fremantle, then staying with a friend 45 minutes South, then on the Margaret River for Christmas. Cannot wait. We have all been sick so looking forward to some R&R, lots of sleeping and playing on the beach. Pictures and updates to follow.
Happy Christmas from The Caskeys!
