Her first job...

It is really hard to get one baby to do what you want them to - let alone two or three of them. It was a fun day out, unfortunately she did not get to keep the clothes!

STOP PRESS

Grandma Lynn is here. We are VERY busy. Hence the lack of postings. We are doing LOTS OF ACTIVITIES. There will be posts. Very soon.

A quiet place

We went to a farmers market at a nearby university last weekend and stumbled upon this quiet little place just off Omotosando. The cherry blossoms in there were beautiful and we took a shortcut through a pretty cemetery home.

A Leisurely Stroll

Isla and I went to Hiro-o this afternoon to meet some of our new friends in the park. We were really late and just had time to meet them for a coffee and go for a swing on the swings before heading home for dinner. Isla slept the whole way home, it was a balmy 20 degrees and it was a very nice wander home. It is one straight road, kind of busy but with some interesting buildings and Aoyama Cemetery which still has cherry blossoms blooming in it. Lovely.

This has been coming for a while....

So - these posts will be in no particular order.

We moved into the new apartment almost a couple of weeks ago now. We have been living with rental furniture, I think they ran out just before we ordered it and we got the dregs of the Tokyo rental furniture market. Charlie and I have two prison like scratchy blankets to cover us at night, a couple of tiny tea cups and one knife. Well, our sea container has arrived and cleared customs so we will have it on Thursday. Looking forward to flip-flops, a new selection of clothes, a duvet cover, getting Isla's new cot set up and lots more.

One of the things we did not ship was a couch, we ended up buying one second hand and last night we went to Ikea after Charlie finished work to get new covers and some other bits and pieces we needed. That place is a nightmare and I hope we do not have to go back anytime soon. We finally got home at 10.30pm, and by 2am the couch had new covers on - woo hoo! The picture is Charlie having a celebratory drink on it. Isla is not allowed to eat pumpkin mash on it, and I am not allowed to eat noodles on it. Fair enough really. Isla already christened it in her own way this morning - shhh don't tell Charlie!
